1. THE NEXT ASSOCIATION TRAINING ARRANGED ON 8 DEC 2011

The next AYY’s association training will be arranged at Design Factory on Thursday, 8 Dec, 4.30pm–7.30pm. Mark down the date on your calendar now! The content of the training is currently being planned and you can send your ideas for the training by email to jarjestoasiat@ayy.fi. The purpose is to organise a more versatile training with a more specific programme for chairpersons and communications officers, among others.

The training is very important especially for new association members who are recruited in several meetings this autumn. In the training, AYY’s brand new association guide will also be published in Finnish, English and Swedish.

2. AYY’S ASSOCIATION GUIDELINE UPDATED

On 14 Sept 2011, the Student Union’s Representative Council had a meeting and approved changes to the association guideline, which were suggested by the Board. The updated version of the association guideline is available at AYY’s Representative Council wiki.

The changes mainly consisted of updated concepts which clarified terms and added current practices in the guideline.

3. THIRD APPLICATION ROUND OF TTER WILL END ON SUNDAY, 9 OCT

The third application round of TTER (fund for promoting teekkari activities) is ongoing. The purpose of the fund is to distribute grands and thus support the efforts of the Student Union, its members and the communities and associations within the Student Union. You can apply for the grants with a separate application. The deadline for applications is Sunday, 9 Oct, 11.59pm.

Instructions on the application and the attachments are available on the website of the fund at tter.ayy.fi. The website also includes other fund-related information – please visit the website even if you do not have the need for financial assistance right now! You can apply for the grant with an online form.

A so-called light application round will be arranged in November during which you can apply for smaller grants (the maximum €300) through an easier application procedure. More information will be available in October.

4. PA SYSTEM OF SMÖKKI AND THE RESERVATION CANCELLATION

Since student meals are no longer served at Servin Mökki, user hours will begin earlier than before. If necessary, those who have made the reservation can prepare their events already from 12noon onwards. You can also negotiate on an earlier starting time if necessary.

The PA system at Servin Mökki has been renewed. Rental price includes the PA system including speakers and a mixer. You can also get a wireless microphone from AYY’s Otaniemi service point against a 50 euro deposit.

When making the reservation, please remember that the reservation must be cancelled in writing 14 days prior to the user date or the renter has to pay for the rent of the facilities.
