1. THE NEXT ASSOCIATION TRAINING ARRANGED ON 8 DEC 2011

The next AYY’s association training will be arranged at Design Factory on Thursday, 8 Dec, 4.30pm–7.30pm. Mark down the date on your calendar now! The content of the training is currently being planned and you can send your ideas for the training by email to jarjestoasiat@ayy.fi. The purpose is to organise a more versatile training with a more specific programme for chairpersons and communications officers, among others.

The training is very important especially for new association members who are recruited in several meetings this autumn. In the training, AYY’s brand new association guide will also be published in Finnish, English and Swedish.

2. PROBLEMS WITH TTER’S APPLICATION FORM

Problems have occurred with the application form, due to which the application was not stored in the database for an unknown reason. As a precaution, we advise all applicants to submit their application by email to tter@list.ayy.fi.

The easiest way to do this is to forward the confirmation message received by email to TTER. Please do this even if you have received the confirmation message as the application may not have been stored in TTER’s database. TTER apologises for the inconvenience.

3. EARN MONEY FOR YOUR ASSOCIATION AT TEEKKARI HERRING BREAKFAST

Herring breakfast for technology students will be arranged at Servin Mökki on 5 Nov, 12noon-6pm. Now we are looking for a hard-working group to be in charge of the practical arrangements of the breakfast. This is an excellent opportunity to earn some cash for your excu group, for example!

Tasks in a nutshell:

  • arranging Smökki in party condition before the breakfast; food, band equipment, other extras
  • maintaining catering and the condition of Smökki during the breakfast
  • cleaning up Smökki after the party
  • freshmen will help you out
  • teekkari section will take care of prearrangements

Please send an informal bid no later than 23 Oct including the price for which you would be willing to arrange the breakfast. The price should not include the breakfast costs. Please send your questions and bids to the persons in charge of the breakfast Anu (anu.juvonen@ayy.fi) or Lauri (lauri.ikonen@ayy.fi).

4. BEGINNER’S WALL CLIMBING COURSE AND BOULDERING INTRO OF CLIMBING CLUB ORANKI

Climbing Club Oranki will arrange four beginner’s wall climbing courses on 10 and 19 November. The basic course provides skills for independent and safe climbing on indoor walls. You get a certificate from the course, which is required for most indoor walls. Each course can have 12 participants and the course price is €30. Sign up at www.oranki.fi.

Oranki will arrange a bouldering intro in the Boulder Centre Konala on Wednesday, 19 Oct. Come and get to know Oranki activities and climbing! The introduction costs the normal climbing fee (€9) including free climbing shoe rental. A separate registration is not required. Everyone interested is welcome, see you in BK Konala at 6pm.
