3. HAVE YOU ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR SELL GAMES 2012?

Have you noticed that SELL Games 2012 will be organised in Otaniemi? The main organisers are Aalto University Student Union (AYY) and Aalto University Sports Club.

Since these games are hosted by us, we try to collect the largest possible team to represent our own university. We need more participants from the School of Economics and the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, in particular.

Send this message forward to the members, so we can arrange an amazing event!

If SELL Games are not familiar to you, please read this brief information on SELL website http://sell2012.fi/organization/.

After the financial assistance of Unisport, three day participation including meals and HSL ticket will cost €40 for Aalto University students. You can gather your own team from your sports club or participate as an individual to compete and enjoy the sporty atmosphere! You can sign up for the games directly at https://lomake.ayy.fi/liikunta/registration_sell2012/. The deadline for registration at the price of €40 is 20 March and the registration is binding. You can also sign up after 20 March but at a higher price.

For more information on participation and Aalto University’s own team, please contact Sports Specialist Heidi Heiskanen, heidi.heiskanen@ayy.fi.

4. TEEKKARI CAR CLUB ARRANGES A TRAINING DAY FOR SLIPPERY DRIVING ON 12 FEB

Do not be a deer in the headlights! Teekkari Car Club (TAK) will arrange the ice track day for slippery driving training in Hyvinkään Vauhtipuisto Park on Sunday, 12 Feb 2012, 3pm–6pm. Please do not hesitate to participate. If you don’t have the skills, we will help you. You can participate with your own/dad’s/friend’s/some one else’s car. The car club is not responsible for damage that might occur. We will, however, take our own van and car trailer to the event in case it will be needed. The fee for the car club members is €5 and the fee for non-members is €20. The membership of the car club costs €15.

The car club builds and repairs its members’ cars, makes excursions, goes to the sauna at different locations, organises events and attends parties. On every first Friday of every summer month, we cruise around the city and a couple of times a year we drive at Ahvenisto motor-racing track. Join the action! Further information (in Finnish) is available at: http://tak.tky.fi/tak/index.php.
