1. CAMPUS EXPO ON 17-19 SEPT. SIGN UP NOW!

This year, Campus Expo will be organised in Töölö on Monday, 17 Sept and Tue, 18 Sept-Wed 19 Sept in Otaniemi. In Campus Expo, you can present your association activities to new students, sell overall badges and make new acquaintances. Your association may participate in one or more days.

Sign up by Mon, 10 Sept:  https://lomake.ayy.fi/aava/kampuskarkelot/

On Monday, the first expo day will be organised in Töölö between 10am-2pm in the main building lobby of the School of Business. On Monday evening, you can also arrange association activities open to everyone at KY’s club facilities, which you can advertise at your expo stand.

Due to renovation, the expo in Otaniemi will be exceptionally organised in the lobby which surrounds Hall M. The facilities are a little smaller and more challenging, and stands will be closer to one another but we hope that you understand the situation. There are not enough tables and chairs for everyone so we encourage you to bring your own equipment for your stand.

On the first Otaniemi day, an evening event will also be organised. The idea is that you can invite new members to get to know your activities in sauna facilities which can be booked when you sign up. If possible, you can also arrange the event in your own club facilities. The idea is not to organise checkpoints but rather to organise events/activities that your association usually does, and which can be easily presented to those who are interested. Please mention possible event ideas in the registration form and we will annouce the division of facilities by 11 Sept. You can also mention if you organise the evening event in your own club room and we will add it to the schedule.

Schedule:

  • Mon, 17 Sept, Campus Expo in Töölö
10am-2pm Lobby in the main building of the School of Business
~6pm-7pm onwards,  evening events in the club rooms of KY Building

Dear student association member,

Come and hear about Dialogue project which will be launched again this autumn! The aim of Dialogue project is to improve the working life by researching Aalto University students’ and companies’ views on work, work practices and the working life, and to promote interaction between the parties.

Communications Agency Ellun Kanat will organise Dialogue’s kick-off event on Wednesday,12 sept 2012, 4pm–5pm. The event will include an info session on what Dialogue is, why it is important for Aalto’s students and how the associations could participate in Dialogue. Wine and snacks will be provided!

What is Dialogue?

Dialogue’s mission is to achieve a better working life. Dialogue is the first industrial action in the world history, where employees and employers work for the better working life on the same side and around the same table. Dialogue project of 2012 delves into mobile work. The question is: Do students want to have effect on the working life to which they will graduate? Dialogue wants to give voice to the future employees, the students. Concrete interaction takes place in the joint workshops of companies and students.
