New students will need a separate library card in the future

Students who will begin their studies in the autumn of 2013 will need the Aalto University library card when using the library services, as the renewed Lyyra student card can no longer be used as a library card. A library card can be obtained from the library service points when borrowing an item for the first time. In order to obtain the library card, it is necessary to provide a proof of identity and home address in Finland.

The following can also be used as a library card

  • AYY’s barcode student cards older than the year of 2013 (SYL, Lyyra)
  • Barcode library and student cards of other universities and higher education institutions

Current students, who order a new card for one reason or another, will also need a separate library card. Students who are not registered for attendance can also obtain a library card.
