May Day Eve 2011 will blow your mind: Aalto community will demonstrate its May Day spirit and turn the whole Helsinki around! You have never seen anything like this before!

So put on your May Day gear and come and show your May Day joy to the whole world! To demonstrate the May Day spirit, we will march to Havis Amanda statue together and show the whole world how much we love this day.

In brief: Please arrive at Hietalahdentori Square or to the KY House by 3.30pm at the latest and let the May Day spirit blow you away!

Schedule:

2pm-3.15pm Transport after the May Day Declaration from Teekkari Village to Hietalahdentori Square
3.30pm The organising of the procession begins
4pm Processions start from Hietalahdentori square and the KY House

All guilds will organise direct transport for their members from Otaniemi to the starting point.

Please bring with you:

-May Day clothing according to the weather, such as overalls
-May Day spirit which we will demonstrate together
-Equipment for demonstration: boomboxes, humoristic signs and visible logos of different groups are good options

The May Day demonstration will reach its final form when the processions unite at the beginning of Esplanadi. The event will climaxe with Manta’s capping show performed by AYY and KY.
