Otatarhan ajot is a formula race organized at Alvarin aukio on September 30th from 2 pm.

The idea is that every team constructs their own non-motorized vehicle that they’ll drive on a marked route. The best teams will be rewarded according to both speed and chic of the vehicle and atmosphere of the team. Every team has to build a pit for themselves on a certain area where they will perform a task before the race.

There will be two takeoffs in the competition. The first one is for everybody and the second is only for freshman teams. In the evening the day continues with Lakinlaskijaiset -party at Dipoli.

RULES

§1 The vehicle has to move with human power (e.g. with pedals, pushing or pulling) – motors are not allowed

§2 Teams race at their own risk – teams must take care of safety

§3 Size of the team and the vehicle aren’t constricted

§4 Collisions and intentional vandalism for other teams is forbidden

§5 Vehicles must follow the marked route

§6 The best teams will be rewarded according to both speed and chic of the vehicle and atmosphere of the team
