Do you already feel like you need a break? Would you like to take one day off? Don’t worry because on Shrove Tuesday, 21 Feb 2012, the students’ number one refreshment, Shrovetide Celebrations at Ullanlinnanmäki Hill will take place in Kaivopuisto Park in Helsinki! During the fun, snowy and energetic afternoon, the hill will be filled with snowmobiles, sledges and slides, as well as happy students from the metropolitan area and beyond. Grab a sledge and come to the hill!

In addition to all the sledding and fun, there will be music and activities. The day climaxes with the legendary Academic Sledding Competition where teams compete with their inventive and impressive constructions for the title of the greatest sledding device. Last year, we saw fighter planes, extension cord, tanks and a bedouin patrol. Come and find out who will win this time! The best time for sledding is between 12noon-4pm but the party does not end there, it will continue from dusk till dawn at Gravitation Party in the centre of Helsinki www.gravitaatio.fi & at Facebook.
