The association’s purpose is to enhance the opportunities of the students of Aalto University to practice martial arts and related activities and to act as liaison for its members.
We offer our members weekly free form training sessions, but also courses with instructors. We’ve organized courses by the titles “Intro to Mixed Martial Arts” and “Muay Thai” for example. Both of which were popular. We train in Otahalli (Otaranta 6), Tatamisali (Jämeräntaival 5) and in Monitoimitila (Jämeräntaival 3). Our weekly trainings are rather free in form and we do a lot of soft sparring. Previous experience in martial arts is desirable, but nonetheless everyone is welcome to come and learn with us!
More information about the club can be found at our website and at Facebook. In case these resources leave questions unanswered, contact us via email!

Hello Jeremy
Sure you can train with us without a kimono. We usually wear some sort of submission wrestling shorts and rashguards.
Are you talking about some sort of traditional jujitsu i.e. stand-up jujitsu or Brasilian Jujitsu?
If you mean BJJ, our wrestling training might suite you best.
If you mean traditional jujitsu with punches, kicks, throws and join locks, I’d suggest stand-up training. We usually do boxing/kickboxing sparring on those training sessions, but it’s very free form, so you can ask if someone’s interested in a more jujitsu kind of training.
Most of information goes through our fb-page, you should join there and direct questions there.
