Baltech is a network of 8 universities around the Baltic Sea, which purpose is to develop the cooperation of the universities in this region and improve research and education in this way.

You can apply for student exchange with a group of 4–8 people. The purpose is that hosts will visit the groups in Finland after the exchange. The student exchange is organised among students with the same major subject. One group can receive a maximum aid of €700 for the exchange. The application deadline is 13 May and the exchange will be organised in early autumn.

3. Student: Apply for student financial aid for summer now!

Students may receive financial aid for the summer if they complete studies which are included in their degree. Summer financial aid also includes the study grant, housing supplement and the loan guarantee.

You can apply for the summer financial aid online through Kela’s electronic services

(www.kela.fi/asiointi) or with the notification of changes form (OTm).

Access to electronic services requires authentication with an electronic identity card or an online bank user ID. The service is only available in Finnish and Swedish. A student must usually attach to the application a school certificate or a statement by the Financial Aid Committee on one’s studies or a statement by one’s thesis instructor.

In order to receive financial aid for the summer, a student must study full-time which means one must gain enough study credits. In higher education institutions, the average credit limit is at least 4.8 per one supported month.
