8. AllWell? 2019

The study wellbeing questionnaire AllWell? will be sent once again to all Aalto 2nd-year bachelor’s and 1st-year master’s students. Give us 15 minutes of your time – you will get personal feedback and help Aalto develop. The questionnaire will be available online from 6 Feb to 20 Feb 2019. Your response will remain completely anonymous.

We will communicate the programme level results to the heads of the degree programmes. Development and improvement must be based on facts, which is why your response is crucial! Within one month, you will get personal feedback with ideas on how to improve your study skills.

The AllWell? project is a part of Aalto University’s strategy 2016–2020. The goal is to enhance student wellbeing by advancing the development of teaching, learning services and support for studies and better study skills.

Online bullying, social media addiction, the #metoo movement, filter bubbles, bullshit and the moderation of the truth in a networked world. What are these phenomena, and what should each of us know and understand about them?

On 12 Feb, Aalto University’s Information Networks degree programme commences a series of six lectures aimed at the public, in which experts discuss these phenomena in understandable terms. The lectures, which are Finnish-language, are free of charge and held each Tuesday in Otaniemi, in the Computer Science building (T-talo) at 5–6 pm. In addition, a live stream of the lectures will be available online. The event’s speakers and detailed dates are at https://avoin.informaatioverkostot.fi/ (in Finnish).

Signing up is easy! Go to www.erasmusinschools.fi. Read through the section “Information for Students”. You can then sign up at https://matchingmachine.hci.fi and wait to be matched with one of the registered schools.
