KUJ

KUJ. Those three letters originate from the Finnish word Kulttuurijaosto. It is almost impossible to avoid those three letters as they are visible almost everywhere within KY’s student culture. Regardless, a lot more is concealed behind them than one would even dare to suggest. Covert, that is something what KUJ is.

Even though the door to this sub-committee is open only for the first year students, KUJ affects the life of practically every business student at Aalto Biz. KUJ keeps and has kept KY’s student culture alive for decades. For the majority of students the most visible events held by KUJ are Mursujaiset (Walrus Day), Sillikset aka Herring breakfasts twice a year, PreManta and many other big events during every autumn and spring. KUJ also organizes many smaller events during the year such as after parties at KY building.
