The Guild of Automation and Systems Technology

Special status associations

The purpose of the Guild of Automation and Systems Technology is to connect the engineering students of Automation and Information Technology with that of Automation and Systems Technology as well as to promote their interests at the university and to inspire them to pursue professional and general social issues.

The majority of the students of the Guild of Automation and Systems Technology study in the Automation and Systems Technology degree program which allows the students, who were admitted on year 2009 and after, to study either Automation and Systems Technology or Communication Technology. For the students who were admitted during 2010-2012 the only major subject in the bachelor’s degree program is Automation and Systems Technology. Starting from the intake of 2013 the name of the program was changed to Automation and Information Technology and therefore Automation and Systems Technology was joined by a second major subject, Information Technology.

Inside the building for the departments of Industrial Engineering and Automation and Systems Technology (TUAS) our guild has a wonderful guild room named ASki which serves as place for taking a break between lectures, hanging out, working or playing games together, eating sweets and drinking coffee and sometimes even as a place for sitsit. In addition our guild has acquired a new place for tinkering and adjusting in the building of Electrical Engineering.
