7 Wonders Campus Walks (20, 21 & 22.9)
Come and discover 7 Wonders of Aalto campuses! Join us for a guided walk and discover seven distinct, dare we say wonderful, features of one Aalto University campus area – plus each walk includes a surprise!
New International Students from all universities in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area are welcome to sign up.
One campus walk will take place on each of the following days:
20.9 – Otaniemi
21.9 – Töölö
22.9 – Arabia
From 16:00-18:00 each day
We are offering a place for one campus walk per student. However there is a maximum amount of places per walk, thus registration is required in advance.

Have you been an exchange student somewhere and didn’t get all the need you might have wanted? Or did you come to Finland expecting more from your tutor? Maybe you didn’t even get one. Or you could just be interested in meeting lots of great new people from different cultures and maybe improving your language skills. This is your chance to do just that and help others at the same time. Become an international tutor to the incoming exchange students of Aalto University!
Being an international tutor is very rewarding and fun. Basically it means helping a group of about eight exchange students with your tutoring pair during the academic year of 2011-2012. Most of the work is done in the first week of school in the beginning of September but you can gain a lot if you hang around with the exchange students throughout the year. This includes making friends who you might later visit from all over the world.
You can register as an international tutor here: http://forms.ayy.fi/vaihtari-isot/. The registration is open until May 8th. The tutors will be trained in two sessions: one in May and another in August. By attending the sessions and writing a report in the spring 2012 you can gain an ECTS credit. You can also get a credit for some language you’ve used in tutoring if you talk to a teacher of that language.

Vai oletko ehkä vain kiinnostunut tapaamaan lukuisia hienoja uusia ihmisiä ja samalla kehittämään kielitaitojasi? Tämä on sinun tilaisuutesi tehdä näitä asioita ja samalla auttaa muita. Lähde vaihtari-ISOksi Aalto-yliopistoon tuleville vaihto-opiskelijoille.
Vaihtari-ISOna toimiminen on erittäin palkitsevaa, kiitollista ja hauskaa hommaa. Käytännössä se tarkoittaa noin kahdeksan hengen vaihto-opiskelijaryhmän auttamista parisi kanssa lukuvuoden 2011-2012 aikana. Suurin työmäärä sijoittuu syyslukukauden ensimmäiselle viikolle, mutta kaikkein eniten ISOtoiminnasta saa irti pyöriessään ulkkareiden mukana koko vuoden ajan. Samalla saat ympäri maailmaa ystäviä, joiden kotikaupungeissa sinulla on sitten joskus majoitus valmiina.
Vaihtari-ISOksi voit ilmoittautua osoitteessa: http://forms.ayy.fi/vaihtari-isot/. Ilmoittautuminen on avoinna 8.5. asti. ISOt koulutetaan kahdessa tapahtumassa touko- ja elokuussa. Koulutuksiin osallistumalla ja palauttamalla raportin ISOtoiminnastaan keväällä 2012 saa yhden opintopisteen. Lisäksi voit saada kielenopettajan kanssa keskustelemalla opintopisteen tutoroinnissa käyttämästäsi kielestä.
